Is Winning International Clients Getting Tougher?

Date - 21st Aug 2026
Time - 9AM to 1PM
Venue - Training Venue within Colombo

Program Outline

Module 1: How Clients Decide Now

What matters to clients now, why capable firms get overlooked before they ever get a conversation, and where new opportunity is emerging - Europe included. This module confronts how geopolitical and economic upheaval, combined with AI, have changed what clients need and how they decide. Participants leave with an honest read of where their own business stands against the new reality.

Module 2: Staying Relevant

Moving from "we do everything" to a sharp position the right clients recognize. This module covers how to define who you're really for, articulate a distinct value, and build a message anchored in the client's problem rather than a list of services - including the discipline of deciding which segments to decline. Participants leave with a sharper direction and a first-draft
position to build on.

Module 3: Earning Trust, Being Chosen

Getting seen and heard when AI has levelled the playing field and every pitch looks alike - and becoming the safe, credible choice clients trust. This module covers what still earns belief when claims no longer convince, how trust is built through consistent visibility, and how to strengthen credibility even without years of track record. Participants leave knowing exactly where their credibility is strong and where it is thin.

Module 4: Building a Repeatable Growth Engine

Creating a steady, predictable flow of the right client conversations, by design rather than by chance. This module covers where growth typically breaks down, how to generate the right conversations consistently, and how to open a low-risk first step for a new client to engage. Participants leave with a clear view of where their own pipeline is weakest and a practical first move to strengthen it.

Post Workshop Support

A limited number of participating companies can request a complimentary 1:1 strategy review with the facilitator following the session. Slots are limited and allocated on request

What is this program?

This session is a strategic reset for two kinds of founders and CEOs of technology firms selling internationally:

• Those rethinking their direction - under pressure, weighing a pivot, but not yet sure what's next.
• Those ready for their next move - clear on what they sell but needing a new market or a sharper position.

Who is it for?

Founders and CEOs, together with C-suite sales and marketing leaders of technology firms
selling or preparing to sell to international markets.

What will you gain?

Participants leave with a clearer strategic direction and a set of frameworks they can apply immediately - a sharper read on their clients, their positioning, their credibility, and their pipeline - along with a clear sense of where to focus next.

Meet the instructor

Manori Unambuwe

Manori brings 25 years of expertise in senior sales and marketing leadership at SAP, IBM and Oracle. Through her advisory work today, she evaluates vendors from the buyer's side of the table, and brings diplomatic experience, having served as Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Germany. That combination - seller, buyer and diplomat - gives her a rare edge in reading how clients decide and what it takes to succeed with them. Further, as an AsiaBerlin Ambassador, she has led several national delegations to the AsiaBerlin Summit, bridging the Sri Lankan and European tech ecosystems. An MBA and FCIM, she offers a grounded, practical view of what it takes to secure and keep international clients today.
